When You Discover Regular Lost or Found Items
- Take a photo and post to Slack's lost-and-found channel with a message indicating the location found (property/room)
- Place the lost item in the lost & found box set up at each property

When You Discover Valuables
- Take a photo and post details of the found item to Slack's lost-and-found channel
- Report to the Manager or Assistant Manager
Temporary Storage
Store valuables in the staff area, take a photo of the specific storage location, and report to Assistant Manager or above.

3. Rules for Handing Over Valuables
Thorough Identity Verification
Always verify the recipient's ID (identification) or perform face verification.
When a Third Party is the Recipient
⚠ Important Notice
Even if a third party claims they "know" the owner, handover is NOT allowed unless direct confirmation with the owner is obtained.
If identity cannot be verified, report to an Assistant Manager or higher authority and await instructions.
If the owner has requested a proxy to collect the item, verify the proxy's ID and confirm they are the designated representative.
Reporting Handover Completion
- Post a valuables handover completion report to Slack's lost-and-found channel
👔 Assistant Manager and Above Response
Upon confirming reports from staff and Slack posts about found valuables, follow the manual below:
- If the owner is identified, contact them promptly and have them come to collect the item in person
- If shipping is requested, send via Kuroneko Yamato with cash on delivery (COD)
- If a third party will collect the item, verify the proxy's information and perform identity verification of the proxy during handover
- Post progress updates and handover completion reports to Slack's lost-and-found channel
